When an office party and a missile attack intersect, Oomla the engineer has less than a second to prevent disaster. Which, fortunately, is all the time he needs.

A short traditional point-and-click created for AdvXJam 2020.

Includes:

  • Alien invasion!
  • Workplace politics
  • Time-freezing mechanic
  • Extraterrestrial nudity

How to play:

  • You only need the left mouse button.
  • Click the ground to walk.
  • Point your cursor at things. If the cursor changes and a label appears, click!
  • Move the cursor to the top of the screen to access your inventory. Select items by clicking them, then use them on other items / objects by - you guessed it - clicking again.
  • Clicking empty space (or right-clicking) deselects the item.
  • If you're stuck, you may be overlooking some smaller interactive objects. Watch out for things other characters are holding/wearing. Hunt those pixels!

This was an enjoyable experience and it reminded me of the days of flash.

lovely animations and cute story.

the mac package could not be started. but was able to browse package and start ags with resources dir as argument.

Thank you, happy you were able to play in the end and enjoyed the game! I'm not sure about Off the Clock (the Mac package is old and maybe it really doesn't work), but since you mentioned the same issue with Shards of God - with that game, did you follow the instructions in the readme file? Using the opportunity to ask here since there's no way to DM people on itch :/.

Tried again for Shards of God. Readme can't be opened as well. It is complaining about insufficient access rights. The game file says that the image is corrupted.

If it says something like "Shards_of_God_v1.2 is damaged and can't be opened. You should eject the disk image", then that's bs and a pretty sleazy move on Apple's part - the file isn't "damaged", it just doesn't have an app store license. I don't know why you can't open the readme though, that's strange - will ask the person who made the package and get back to you.

Awesome little game ! The graphics are fantastic ! The music is good too (the short become quick annoying when you are stuck) congratulation for your character animation , you did a good job.

Too bad it's too short, we hope you 'll do more from that universe !

Thanks 5/5

Great game. I think the art and writing really nail the 'adventure game' aesthetic, too.

Loved this game and the time-freeze mechanics.  I'm looking forward to anything else you put out!

Great game with excellent art and a nice sound track. Quite difficult in a couple of place, but I completed it in the end.

I encountered a bit of a movement bug where I ended up still outside the upper dome when I should have been inside it (after an animation transition), but I managed to get back to where I needed to be.

Overall very impressive work for something put together in 3 weeks!

Thank you, happy you enjoyed the game! Did you download in the last two days or earlier? The bug you are reporting should be fixed in the latest version.

(1 edit)

I downloaded it last week, so the bug is probably fixed now.
