Walking animations... ?
Ossuarium » Devlog
A quick question for everyone: do you think proper walking animations would significantly improve the game's appeal overall? Was the characters' "bobbing" instead of walking distracting, or was it easy to accept as a stylistic choice? We have considered adding walking animations, but then again the game seems to work well enough the way it is now, so we are not sure whether it would be worth the effort.
What do you think? We are really curious about your input - thank you!

The animation seemed fine. I'd recommend adding some more sound FX though. Especially something for when the characters talk.
Thank you for the feedback! Unless we try to do voice acting, I'm not sure how to go about the talking sounds... tried to look up "mumbling" and "gibberish" on freesound, but couldn't find anything suitable that wouldn't get grating after a few repetitions. If anyone has any specific tips, I'll be grateful :).
For me it was indeed, as you say, easy to accept as a stylistic choice. That included the walking animation and things like fading from one pose to another rather than fully animated transitions.
I found the stuff hopping funny.
